Reagan Freedom Scholarships

The Wisconsin Conservative Leadership Coalition, a non-profit foundation that publishes the Wisconsin Conservative Digest, is establishing a scholarship program at the Heritage Christian schools with the help of an inheritance from my parents, Leo and Evelyn Dohnal. They both died recently. We are naming it the Reagan Freedom Scholarships in honor of our former president, Ronald Reagan.

I was fortunate enough to be one of the leaders of the Reagan Revolution in Wisconsin, and was his campaign chairman in the metro are on two separate occasions. Reagan will go down as one of the great presidents in our history.

Heritage Christian Schools (HCS) is a nonsectarian Christian school with campuses located in West Allis and Brookfield, serving students from preschool through High School. HCS serves mostly middle class and lower middle class children, and provides for financial aid to families based upon need and circumstances.

One of my children attended HCS about ten years ago. Despite the fact that he was an underachiever in school, Heritage became a major interest in his life. He went on to join the Navy, excelled and is now at UW-Madison, and will eventually be a Navy pilot. The exceptional education provided at HCS has similarly impacted many children.

Reagan Freedom Scholarships will help assist many children attend HCS in the future. This will make a huge difference in many families lives. Over 90 percent of the students who attend HCS, go on to further education — a remarkable feat.

We are building the scholarship fund to help many more children and encourage you to help us achieve this worthy goal. All contributions are tax deductible.

Checks should be made out to Heritage Schools/Reagan Freedom Scholarships. One hundred percent of all money collected will go to student scholarships, there will not be any administration fees.
