Future Wisconsin Conference to focus on “Creating Wealth or Welfare”

In all of the recent debate over Gov. Jim Doyle’s $58 billion budget, the focus was on how much spending would come out of state government over the next two years. Noticeably absent from the political rhetoric was how Wisconsin could generate wealth to pay for all of the welfare spending.

Recognizing that no business group or political leadership has a plan for Wisconsin’s economic future, the Wisconsin Conservative Leadership Coalition has made this issue the focus of its 2008 “Future Wisconsin” conference. Since 2005, the annual Future Wisconsin conference has been dedicated to finding solutions to Wisconsin’s problems without founding more government programs and spending more of the taxpayer’s money.
